She was born April 30, 1953, in Rushville, the daughter of Verne and Melba Curtis Phillips. She married James J. “Bill” Campbell on May 18, 1980, and he survives in Beardstown.
Also surviving are three daughters, Lora (and Josh) Theivagt and Mandy Campbell, both of Beardstown, and Leanne (and Curtis) Watson of Lewistown; eight grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
She graduated from Rushville High School in the class of 1971. She started working for Oscar Mayer in Beardstown and retired with Excel Corporation in the sanitation department.
The family will meet with friends from 4-6 p.m. Thursday at Colwell Memorial Home in Beardstown. There will be no formal services.
