Bob ClarkRobert F. “Bob” Clark, 97, died at 9:39 a.m. Oct. 9, 2022, at Mason District Hospital in Havana.

He was born Aug. 31, 1925, in Pleasantville, Iowa, a son of Arthur and Lola Snyder Clark. He married Elizabeth Clarke on Feb. 16, 1947, in Knoxville, Iowa. She preceded him in death on Nov. 10, 2014.

He also was preceded in death by one daughter, Lola Holcomb; one grandson, Gary Holcomb, Jr.; two great-grandchildren, Kristen Holcomb and Terry Holcomb II; and 12 siblings.

Surviving are one daughter, Carla (and John) Berry of Astoria; one brother, Leroy Clark of Louisiana; two grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and many great-great-grandchildren.

He was a veteran of the United States Army, serving in World War II. He worked at the United States Department of Agriculture in Peoria in security for 30 years, retiring in 1986. He was a member of the Tazewell County Genealogical and Historical Society for many years, and a former member of the Pekin First Church of Nazarene.

Services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will be at Glendale Memorial Gardens in Pekin.
