He was born Oct. 4, 1954, in Rushville, a son of Merle J. and Hope Reeder Caldwell.
Surviving are one son, Jeremy Caldwell of Industry; three brothers, Dennis (and Koreen) Caldwell of Macomb, Reverend Rodney (and Denise) Caldwell of Lanark and Ron (and Denise) Caldwell of Pittsfield; and one grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and one brother, James Caldwell.
He was a 1972 graduate of Industry High School. He farmed on the family farm and was a farmhand for several area farmers. He also drove a truck for Russell Grain for over 25 years, retiring due to health issues.
Services were held Tuesday at the Wood Funeral Home in Rushville with David Haney officiating. Private burial will be in the Chockley Cemetery, south of Industry.
Memorials may be made to a fund for Peyton Caldwell’s education, with checks made payable to Jeremy Caldwell.
