She was born June 13, 1925, in Summum, a daughter of Carl and Musie Ratcliff Thompson. She married Edward Crnkovich on June 30, 1959, in Salinas, Ark. He preceded her in death on July 2, 2007.
She also was preceded in death by 14 brothers and sisters, Gertrude, Nedra, Rose, Margaret, Mary, Tinnie, Shelby, Maurie, Dwight, Donald, Harry, Sam, Floyd and an infant.
Surviving are two children, Janet Ballard of Peoria and Alvin Garren of Palm Coast, Fla.; two grandchildren, Tammy (and Scott) Pherigo and Danny Ballard; and three great-grandchildren, Abigail, Hailey and Joselyn Pherigo.
She was a telephone operator and also worked at a bakery and as a seamstress.
Graveside services were held Tuesday at the Summum Cemetery. There is no visitation. Shawgo Memorial Home in Astoria was in charge of arrangements.
