William E. Collins, 48, of Farmington died at 1:55 p.m. March 14, 2019, at his residence.William E. Collins, 48, of Farmington died at 1:55 p.m. March 14, 2019, at his residence.
He was born Sept. 30, 1970, in Beardstown, the son of George William and Sharon Moore Collins Busby. He married Christine Wilcox on March 21, 1992, in Farmington. She survives.
Also surviving are his mother; three children, Lorraine (and Robert) Shafer, Elizabeth Collins and Tara Beverly Jean Collins; two sisters, Charlene Jockisch and Mary “Smurfy” Collins; his stepfather, Clarence Busby; two grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his father and grandparents.
He worked at Caterpillar.
Cremation rites will be accorded with Anderson-Sedgwick Funeral Home in Farmington. Inurnment will be at Smithville Cemetery at a later date.
