JOSEPH "JOE BOB" CASSIDY

Joseph Cassidy

Joseph “Joe Bob” Cassidy, 56, of Vermont died at 12:35 p.m. Oct. 19, 2015, at McDonough District Hospital in Macomb.

He was born Aug. 9, 1959, in Macomb, a son of Thomas and Luann Ridenour Cassidy. He married Georgia Horwedel on Nov. 24, 1990, in Table Grove. She survives.

Also surviving are two daughters, Addie (and Justin) Quinn of Beardstown and Josie (and Adam Bauer) Cassidy of Table Grove; one sister, Gerry (and Terry) Smith of Macomb; one brother, Dan (and Kathy) Cassidy of Table Grove; and one grandchild.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

He worked at Western Illinois University as a stationary fireman.

He was a U.S. Navy veteran.

Services will be held at noon Friday at Shawgo Memorial Home in Astoria with Pastor Rob Harrison officiating. Military Rites will be conducted by the Ipava American Legion. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the services on Friday. Cremation rites have been accorded.

Memorials may be made to Vermont Fire and Rescue Squad or St. Jude Midwest Affiliate in Peoria.
