Thomas Baily Cassidy, 65, of rural Table Grove, died at 11:40 p.m. Monday, May 18, 1998, at his home.

He was born Nov. 5, 1932, in Macomb, a son of Lee and Geraldine Baily Cassidy. He married Luann Ridenour on Aug. 12, 1954, in Table Grove. She survives.

Also surviving are one daughter, Gerry (Terry) Smith of Powell, Ohio; two sons, Dan Cassidy of Table Grove and Joe Cassidy of rural Vermont; six grandchildren; and one brother, William Cassidy of rural Table Grove.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

He had lived all his life in the McDonough-Fulton County area operating his own farm. He was a graduate of Bradley University and had served as a pilot in the Air Force 98th Air Refueling Squadron. He was a member of Table Grove Masonic Lodge, Mohammed Shrine in Peoria and Macomb Elks Club. He was a trustee for Eldorado Township. He was also a bank board director for Table Grove State Bank for many years.

Servides will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the Table Grove Community Church with Rev. Tim Ashley officiating. Burial will be in the Harris Cemetery in Table Grove. Friends may call after 1 p.m. today at the Clugston-Tibbitts Funeral Home in Macomb, where the family will meet with friends from 7-8:30 p.m.

Memorials may be made to the Myasthenia Gravis Foundation or the McDonough District Hospital Hospice Program.
