Roger Curry

Roger CurryRoger L. Curry, 68, of Rushville died at 12:45 p.m. May 5, 2015, at his home.

He was born Nov. 21, 1946, in Beardstown, a son of Fred Robert and Theresa Lovekamp Curry.

Surviving are two daughters, Lisa (and Larry) Strange and Gina (and Doug) Trone, all of Rushville; one brother, Gerald (and Jane) Curry of Rushville; one sister, Judy (and Dennis) Smith of Frederick; five grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by one son, Chris Curry; and one brother, Ed Curry.

He was a 1964 graduate of Rushville High School. He worked at Schuyler Grain in Rushville, International Harvestor in Canton, the State of Illinois Transportation Department and for the Ironworker’s Union in Peoria. He most recently owned Roger Curry Painting in Rushville.

He was a member of the Rushville Moose Lodge #506 and for many years was a designated driver for anyone who needed a ride.

Graveside services were held Friday at the Messerer Cemetery, near Frederick. Wood Funeral Home in Rushville was in charge of arrangements.
