Roxanne CallihanRoxanne Lee Callihan, 48, of Browning died at 8:50 a.m. Jan. 2, 2013, at her residence.

She was born in 1964 in Kewanee. She was adopted in 1969 to become a daughter of Albert "Whitey" and Gloria Lee McGinnis Breeden. She married Arlan Cox in 1982. She later married James W. Callihan in 1986. He survives.

Also surviving are her mother, Gloria Clements of Beardstown; one daughter, Amanda M. Cox of Astoria; three sons, Shawn Callihan of Beardstown, Willy Callihan of Pleasant Plains and John T. Callihan of Browning; one sister, Sheila Ann (and Randy) Pherigo of Beardstown; and five grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her adopted father and stepfather.

She grew up in Browning and graduated from Rushville High School in 1982. She worked for Cass County Health Department, Home Health and Hospice. She was a first responder and EMT for Schuyler County Ambulance Service. She also was a firefighter for Browning Fire Department for several years.

She attended Lamonts School of Cosmetology in 2004, then started Roxie's Clippers and Shears.

She attended Bader Christian Church and volunteered with Girl Scouts.

Services were held Friday at Worthington Funeral Home in Rushville with Rev. John Ruppel officiating. Burial was in Browning Cemetery.
