Rodney ChockleyRodney Hugh Chockley, 64, of New Castle, Ind., died at 2 a.m. March 24, 2012, while in the company of family members, at Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis.

He was born Feb. 5, 1948, in Astoria, a son of Norma Stambaugh and Verle Chockley of New Castle. He married Della Jean Newsome Chockley. She survives.

Also surviving are two sons, Todd (and Mary) Chockley of Greenwood, Ind., and Kenny (and Tina) Phillips of Eaton, Ind.; two daughters, Sarah (and Chris) Province of Fairfield Bay, Ark., and Stacy (and Jeff) Dayton of Indianapolis, Ind.; one brother, Richard Chockley of Astoria; one special cousin, Marilyn (and Marvin) Biesenthal of Peculiar, Mo.; and 11 grandchildren.

He served in the U.S. Air Force as a Staff Sgt.

He was employed as a Pattern repairman at INTAT Rushville, Ind.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at The Dunkirk Church of the Nazarene in Dunkirk, Ind., with Pastor Tom Fett officiating. Military graveside services will follow in I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Dunkirk, Ind., by The Dunkirk American Legion Post 227 and The United States Air Force. MJS Mortuaries Dunkirk Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
