Marjorie ChapmanMarjorie I. Chapman, 91, of Rolla, Mo., formerly of Camden, died June 2, 2010, at Helia Healthcare Center in Rolla.

She was born Nov. 11, 1918, in Camden, a daughter of Stoel and Ollie Lillian Boss Cady. She married Dwight Chapman on June 2, 1944, in Camden. He survives.

Also surviving are one son, Dennis (and JoAnn) Chapman of Rolla; three step grandchildren; and eight step great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two brothers, Ross Bernard Cady and Vail Cordell Cady; and one sister, Barbara Greenleaf.

She began her career with the United States Postal Service in 1967 as a clerk with the Camden Post Office. She also worked at various times with the post office in Golden. In 1979, she became the Postmaster in charge of the Camden Post Office and retired in 1991.

She was a member of the former Assembly of God Church in Camden and later attended Camden United Methodist Church.

In 1999, she and her husband moved to Rolla to live with their son and his wife. During this time, she attended First Baptist Church in Rolla.

Graveside services were held Sunday at Rushville City Cemetery with Reverend Dixie Croxton officiating. Wood Funeral Home in Rushville was in charge of arrangements.
