She was born Oct. 9, 1941, in Jacksonville, a daughter of Robert E. and Mary Ellen Williams. She married Harold K. Cox Jr. on July 6, 1957, in Virginia. He survives.
Also surviving are her mother, Mary Ellen Olson of Jacksonville; one son, Kenneth Wayne (and Brenda) Cox of Arenzville; three daughters, Mary Ellen (and Dennis) Belville of Astoria and Suzanne Snow and Diane Kathleen (and Kenny) Tibbs, both of Rushville; one brother, Robert Edwin Williams (and companion Darlene) of Philadelphia, Pa.; one sister, Sandra Jean (and Carl) Sanders of Jacksonville; eight grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her father; one grandchild, Brandi Sue Burke; and one great-grandchild, Taylor Bryant.
She was a member of First Southern Baptist Church and a secretary for her husband.
Services were held Tuesday at Worthington Funeral Home in Rushville with Mike Hall officiating. Burial was in Browning Cemetery.
