She was born April 8, 1929, in Auburn, a daughter of Frank and Marie Domescik Kerska. She married Otis Boyd. He preceded her in death. She later married James Cassel. He preceded her in death.
She also was preceded in death by one daughter, Jamie Michelle; one sister, Theresa; and two brothers, Francis and John Kerska.
Surviving are two daughters, Connie Sue Boyd Rice of Acworth and Kathy Lou Boyd Dunbar of Hoschton, Ga.; one sister, Lenore Boyd of Rushville; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
She graduated from Rushville High School and was a member of Browning Methodist Church.
She retired from Dekalb Medical Center as senior unit secretary.
Services were held Saturday at her church. Burial was in Browning Cemetery. Sager Funeral Home in Beardstown was in charge of arrangements.
Memorials have been suggested to her church or American Lung Association.
