Elizabeth Louise Connell, 84, of Ipava died at 5:11 a.m. Aug. 28, 2007, at McDonough District Hospital in Macomb.
She was born July 12, 1923, in Rogers, Texas, a daughter of Volney Carroll and Ada Maude Ragon Tyler. She married O’Dell Calvin Connell on Nov. 16, 1942, in Rogers, Texas. He died May 10, 2007.
She also was preceded in death by one daughter, Connie Connell; and one sister, Ruth Blevins.
Surviving are one daughter, Carole (and Don) Derry of Ipava; one son, John Connell of Marion; four grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
She was a secretary in Texas for several years and a homemaker.
She was a member of Lewistown Church of the Nazarene.
Services were held Thursday at her church with Pastor Randy Munson officiating. Burial was in Ipava Cemetery. Shawgo Memorial Home in Ipava was in charge of arrangements.
