Lucille CurtisLucille Maxine Curtis, 86, of Rushville died at 5 a.m. Wednesday, May 31, 2006, at her home.

She was born Jan. 21, 1920, in Schuyler County, a daughter of John L. and Lille R. Goodin Ebbert. She married Eugene Curtis on Sept. 12, 1939, in Palmyra, Mo. He died Nov. 3, 1978.

She also was preceded in death by one son, Bill; two sisters, Mary Hill and Barbara Joan Ebbert; two brothers, Paul Ebbert and Louis Ebbert; and one great-great-grandson.

Surviving are one daughter, Sharon Curry of Rushville; two sisters, Leona Smith and Doris Prather, both of Rushville; one brother, Victor Ebbert of Havana; three grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.

She was a member of First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) of Rushville.

She was a homemaker, restaurant cook and a pie baker for Rushville residents for many years.

Services were held Friday at Worthington Funeral Home in Rushville with Rev. E. Ambrose Stump officiating. Burial was in Rushville City Cemetery.
