IMOGENE (HARWICK) CLEER CHENOWETH

Imogene Chenoweth

Imogene Chenoweth, 85, of Hopedale, formerly of Ipava, died at 2:45 p.m. Monday, Sept. 9, 2002, at Hopedale Nursing Home.

She was born June 10, 1917, in Canton, a daughter of Obie Floyd and Mabel Pratt Harwick. She married Maurice Cleer in Ipava. He died Jan. 21, 1940. She then married Maurice A. Chenoweth on July 11, 1947, in Ipava. He died Nov. 12, 1988.

She was also preceded in death by one sister.

Surviving are one daughter, Connie (and Roger) Wright of Delavan; three grandsons; and one brother, Devere "Bud" Harwick of Canton.

She was a homemaker and worked at Camp Ellis during WWII where she developed blueprints and photographs.

She was a member of the Ipava Christian Church and Ipava American Legion Auxiliary.

Services will be Saturday, Sept. 14, at 11 a.m. at Shawgo Memorial Home in Ipava with Rev. Carol Maher officiating.

Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Friday, Sept. 13, at the funeral home. Burial will be in Ipava Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to the Ipava Christian Church.
