Raymond Coleman, 66, of Canton, died at 10:02 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 11, 1999, at Graham Hospital.

He was born Oct. 10, 1933, in Canton, a son of Thomas G. and Mary E. Barrett Coleman. He married JoAnn Hainline on June 5, 1954, in Kewanee. She survives.

Also surviving are two sons, Randy of Mesa, Ariz., and Ronald (and Julianne) of Saudi Arabia; two daughters, Mrs. Bill (Kathy) Sims of Alpharetta, Ga., and Mrs. Paul (Jill) Rindone of Geneva; one brother, Jack of Havana; two sisters, Adeline Bernard of Springfield and Sarah Dress of Ipava; and four grandchildren.

One brother and one sister preceded him in death.

He was an Army veteran and a member of the American Legion in Canton and its Voiture 40 & 8.

He worked as a coal miner for the Elm Mine in Trivoli and later worked for the City of Canton.

He was a past member of the Loyal Order of the Moose.

He was a member of Wesley United Church in Canton.

Services were held Monday at Oaks-Hines Funeral Home with Rev. Paul Walles officiating. Burial was in White Chapel Memory Gardens, where military rites were accorded.

Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association or the American Legion.
