Roy Caho

Roy Willis Caho, 65, of Hollister, Mo., formerly of Peoria, died Sunday, Nov. 24, 1996, at St. John’s Regional Medical Center in Springfield, Mo.

He was born June 25, 1931, in Peoria, the son of Roy R. and Clara E. Wyss Caho. He married Patricia Ann Koch. She preceded him in death. He later married Mary Anne Tuer, who also preceded him in death.

Surviving are three sons, Dean Caho of Oswego, Tracey Caho of Tulsa, Okla., and Randy Caho of Montgomery; two stepsons, Jeff Nelson of Aurora and Greg Nelson of Montgomery; two step-daughters, Sheri Westphal of Sycamore and Suzanne Fouts of Table Grove; 17 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

He worked for Caterpillar Inc. in Aurora, retiring in 1980. He then moved to Peel, Ark., where he founded the Peel Volunteer Fire Department. He and his wife later owned and operated Caho’s Ceramics and Caho’s New and Used Store in Hollister. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Hollister.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Wilton Mortuary, where visitation will be two hours before services. Rev. Carl J. Bollinger will officiate. Burial will be in North Limestone Presbyterian Church Cemetery in Peoria County.
