Mrs. Elsie M. Carroll, 99, of Ipava, died at 1:35 a.m. Thursday, April 25, 1996, in the Culbertson Memorial Hospital, Rushville.
She was born Feb. 7, 1897 in Fulton County, the daughter of Thomas and Mary (Norris) Cluney. She married Andrew Roscoe Carroll on Aug. 26, 1914, at Peoria. He preceded her in death on Jan. 11, 1984. She was also preceded in death by one daughter, and two great-grandchildren.
She is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Boyd (Pauline) Brown of Ipava; three grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; 17 great-great-grandchildren; and several great-great-great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Carroll was a member of the former Ipava Methodist Church.
Graveside services were held Saturday at the Ipava Cemetery with Rev. Dennis Knott officiating.
Shawgo Memorial Home of Ipava was in charge of arrangements.
