ANNA MAYE (BINGAMON) COLLINS

Anna Collins

Anna Maye Collins, 85, of Havana, formerly of El Paso, died at 10:45 p.m. Sunday, March 10, 1996, at Mason District Hospital in Havana.

She was born March 17, 1910, in Bluff City, a daughter of Daniel and Dora Sackman Bingamon. She married Clayton Collins on Nov. 26, 1956, in Farmington, Mo. He died May 14, 1994. She also was preceded in death by one son, Herbert Bingamon, four brothers and two sisters.

Surviving are two sons, Glen “Duck” Bingamon of Astoria and Jack Bingamon of Haverstraw, N.Y.; 10 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.

She worked at Armour and Co. in Peoria, Peoria Packing Co., Elms of El Paso and last worked for Galas in El Paso. She was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Ladies Auxiliary in El Paso.

Funeral services were held this morning at Shawgo Memorial Home in Astoria with Collis Trone officiating. Burial was in Bluff City Cemetery in Bluff City.

Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or the Hickory-Kerton Fire Department.
