ANNA M. (SARGENT) STONER JONES CREMEENS

Anna Cremeens

Anna M. Cremeens, 77, of Hopedale, died at 3:12 a.m. Wednesday, May 3, 1995, at Hopedale Hospital.

She was born June 15, 1917, in Sparland, a daughter of Henry and Lula Russell Sargent. She married C. W. Jones on March 18, 1959. He died in 1977. She then married Virgil E. Cremeens on Aug. 15, 1982, in Hopedale. He survives.

Also surviving are one son, Gerald R. Stoner of Bowling Green, Ky.; two daughters, Audrey L. Strode of Fiatt and Mrs. Harold (Sharon) Luvin of Centerview, Mo.; three stepsons, Keith Cremeens of Hopedale, Robert Jones of Bowling Green and Ronald Jones of Pascagoula, Miss.; five stepdaughters, Mrs. Arthur (Sylvia) Burr and Terry Gelsthorpe, both of Deer Creek, Mrs. Keith (Sharon) Owen of Stanford, Jean Cremeens of Springfield and Mrs. Ed (Nancy) Hinman of Astoria; two brothers, James Sargent of Speer and William Sargent of Minier; one sister, Betty Warren of Mackinaw; 34 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.

One son, one brother, and three grandchildren preceded her in death.

She was a member of Hopedale Presbyterian Church and volunteered at Hopedale Nutrition Center.

Funeral services were held Saturday at her church with Rev. Millie Peters and Rev. H. James Smith officiating. Burial was in Chillicothe City Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.

Davis Mortuary in Hopedale was in charge of arrangements.
