Paul J. Callans, 81, of Astoria, died at 9:50 p.m. Sunday, April 16, 1995, at Astoria Healthcare Center.
He was born Jan. 13, 1914, in Astoria, the son of Joseph E. and Lola May Redshaw Callans.
Surviving is one sister, Elizabeth J. Callans of Springfield.
He was a member of St. Rose Catholic Church in Rushville. He was a substitute mail carrier for the U.S. Postal Service. He was a dairy farmer and delivered milk to Astoria in the 1940s.
Funeral services were held this morning at Shawgo Memorial Home in Astoria with Rev. Robert Reynolds officiating. Graveside services will be at 2:30 this afternoon at St. Mark’s Cemetery in Winchester with Rev. Charles Nelson officiating.
