WILLARD DEAN CHOCKLEY

W. Dean Chockley, 79, of Normal, died at 10:38 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 16, 1995 at BroMenn Regional Medical Center in Normal.

Surviving are his wife, Gladys; one son, Thomas Chockley of Chicago Heights; one daughter, Carol Dawdy of Shelbyville; one brother, Verle Chockley of Browning; one sister, Mildred Miller of Browning; three grandchildren; six step-grandchildren; four step-great-grandchildren; one niece; and four nephews.

He was a member of Calvary United Methodist Church in Normal and Bloomington Elks Lodge 281. He was a retired Growmark, Inc. employee of 44 years. He held various positions, including managing two of its member companies. He was vice president of administration at the time of his retirement in 1980. He was a U.S. Army veteran of WWII.

Funeral services were held Monday in Stubblefield Froelich Memorial Home, Normal, with Rev. Tom Hamilton-Kenney officiating. Entombment was in Park Hill Mausoleum, Bloomington.
