Eunice Craft

Eunice M. Craft, 80, of Yucaipa, Calif., formerly of Vermont, died at 5:45 p.m. Monday, Jan. 30, 1995, at her residence.

She was born July 6, 1914, in Alexis, a daughter of Roy R. and Victoria Anderson John. She married Charles E. Craft on Nov. 30, 1935, in Galesburg. He died Nov. 16, 1962.

Surviving are two daughters, Judith Wood of Yucaipa and Jaquelyn Beer of Milford, Ind.; one son, George of Vermont; one sister, Florence Frank of Galesburg; 14 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

She was a licensed practical nurse at Galesburg Cottage Hospital and later at the Galesburg Clinic for 11 years, retiring in 1977. She was a member of Vermont United Methodist Church and a life member of the Parent-Teacher Association. She also was a member of the Licensed Practical Nurse Association of Illinois, where she served on the state board and as vice president; Knox College 50 Year Club; Fulton County Farm Bureau; and American Association of Retired Persons.

Funeral services were held Saturday at her church with Rev. Jill Johnson-Scott officiating. Burial was in Vermont Cemetery. Shawgo Memorial Home in Ipava was in charge of arrangements.
