Denzel Cook, 75, Of Canton Dies

Denzel Cook, 75, of 635 Anderson Place, Canton, died at 3:08 a.m. Thursday at Graham Hospital.

He was born in Astoria on Sept. 12, 1905, a son of Samuel and Anna (Brown) Cook. He married Estella F. Prather in Rushville on May 20, 1928. She survives.

Other survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Keith Lenover of Canton; one granddaughter; and two great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters.

He retired from International Harvester Co. after 29 years in the Punch and Shear Department. Later he worked for the Canton Country Club. He was a member of the Church of the Brethren, Local UAW 1357, Moose 784 and AARP.

Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. Saturday at Oaks Chapel. Burial was in Greenwood Cemetery.
