Funeral services were conducted for Regie O. Cagle, 18, of Macomb, at 2 p.m. Thursday at Dodsworth-Piper-Wallen Funeral Home with Rev. David Arnett officiating. Burial was in Bauer Cemetery at Rushville.
Mr. Cagle was found hanged in a cell at the McDonough County jail Sunday afternoon, June 1, 1980.
He was born Nov. 29, 1961, in Rushville, the son of George and Freeda Jones Cagle.
He attended the Assembly of God Church and was a laborer in the oil fields in California.
Surviving are his mother, of Macomb; two brothers, Randy and Robert, both of Macomb; and two sisters, Mrs. Jack (Rhonda) Moulton and Ronelle Cagle, both of Macomb.
He was preceded in death by his father.
