Mrs. June Conlin Dies Sunday

Mrs. Lorena June Conlin, 41, a resident of Astoria for the past nine years, died early Sunday morning in Culbertson Memorial Hospital in Rushville following about a year’s illness.

She was born June 10, 1929 at Monmouth, a daughter of Loren A. and Eva P. Jones Downs. She was married to Allan Conlin in Kirkwood on Nov. 27, 1957. He survives.

Also surviving are four sons, Mark, Jay, Craig and Scott, all at home; her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Loren Downs of Roseville; three sisters, Mrs. Winifred Johnson and Mrs. Eloise Smith of Kirkwood and Mrs. Marsha Naderhoff of Quincy. One brother and one sister preceded her in death.

She was a member of the United Methodist Church, a life member of the National Education Association and a graduate of Western Illinois University.

Funeral services were held at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday afternoon at the United Methodist Church with Rev. James Elder and Rev. D. Arnold Naff officiating. Burial was in the Roseville Cemetery.
