Mrs. Elsie Z. Curless, 84, of Astoria, died Thursday afternoon at her home in Bluff City after a five year illness.
A lifelong resident of the Bluff City area, she was born March 9, 1877 in Fulton County, daughter of William J. and Mary J. Graham Parrish. She was married to H. Hartford Curless in 1892. He preceded her in death in 1941.
She was a member of the EUB class of the Bluff City Community church.
Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Nina L. Curless of Bluff City; a son, Glenn W. of Havana; a sister, Mrs. Rena Foutch of Dallas City, and two grandchildren. Two sisters and one brother preceded her in death.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Bluff City Community church, with the Rev. Fred S. Gross, of the Astoria EUB church in charge. Burial was in the Bluff City cemetery.
