Former Bluff City Resident Dies In Macomb

Thaddeus L. Curless, 72, of Macomb, died suddenly of a heart attack Monday night. His body was found on the kitchen floor Tuesday morning and it is believed he got up in the night to get a drink and then collapsed.

He roomed alone and was apparently in good health recently and was up town as usual Monday.

Mr. Curless was a son of Lafayette and Armintha (McDaniels) Curless, now deceased, and was born Feb. 29, 1875 near Bluff City in Fulton county. He came to Macomb in 1920 and worked for about 15 years at the Dickey clay products company plant. He had been retired since working there.

He was married to Dollie Vance. They were divorced. He leaves: Dwight Curless and Maurice Curless, both of Los Angeles, Calif.; John Curless and Mrs. Mildred Danielson of Macomb. A daughter, Ila, is deceased. He was the last of a family of 12 children. He also leaves three grandchildren.
