Donald F. Brock Jr., of Geneseo, formerly of Andalusia, died Dec. 28, 2022, at OSF St. Francis Hospital in Peoria.Donald F. Brock Jr., of Geneseo, formerly of Andalusia, died Dec. 28, 2022, at OSF St. Francis Hospital in Peoria.
He was born in Canton, a son of Donald F. Brock Sr. and Elsie Pickering Brock Menees. He married Connie Freeburg McKeag in 1968. She survives.
Also surviving are two sons, William “Bill” Brock (Larry Creter) of Sarasota, Fla., and Donald “Donnie” F. (Stacy) Brock III of Moline; one sister, Jan Brock of Silvis; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Margaret “Peggy” Brock Kottmer; and two brothers, Larry and Charles “Chuck” Brock.
Don and Connie owned The Little Store for 15 years, prior to that he worked in sales for McGarvey Coffee Co.
He was a 50-year member of the Fraternal Order of the Eagles #956, was a past president and inducted into the Illinois Eagle Hall of Fame. He also was a 15-year member of Andalusia Masonic Lodge #516.
Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory in Milan. Service will be followed by an Eagles and Masonic service. Visitation will be held from 4-6 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Andalusia Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to Shriners Children’s Hospital in Chicago.
