He was born May 2, 1964, in Macomb, a son of George E. and Ann Marshall Bottenberg. He married Deborah A. Smith on June 29, 1990, in Portland, Ore. She survives.
Also surviving are his parents of Charles City, Iowa; one daughter, Alishia (and Tyler) Guest of Mollala, Ore.; one brother, Charles (and Ellyn) Bottenberg of Princeville; two sisters, Deborah (and Joe) Laverdiere of Peoria and Mary (and Ron) Jones of Waterloo, Iowa; and four grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Edwin and Doris Bottenberg of Ipava and Max and Viola Marshall of Table Grove.
He graduated from Brimfield High School in 1982, he worked in the nursery industry in Oregon for 36 years, and spending over five years in China managing three nurseries. He worked at several restaurants/pubs over the years.
A Celebration of Life is being planned for a later date.
