He was born April 22, 1978, in Rushville, a son of Joe and Terri Bartlow Burke.
Surviving are his parents of Rushville; one sister, Alison (and Tim) McLean of Girard; one brother, Chris (and Beth) Burke of Ojai, Calif.; five nephews and nieces; maternal grandmother, Shirley Bartlow of Rushville; his uncles and aunts, Mike (and Rita) Burke of Rushville, Patti (and Don) Welch of Macomb, and Kathy (and Paul) Burton and Mike (and Julie) Bartlow, both of Rushville; and several cousins.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Byron Bartlow; and paternal grandparents, Roy Burke and Verna Burke.
He was a 1996 graduate of Rushville High School. While attending college in Champaign, he and his friends began a band they called Whig. He returned to Rushville and began learning the craft of cabinet making. He practiced this talent for several years in St. Louis.
He was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Rushville.
Memorial services will be held at a later date. The Wood Funeral Home in Rushville is in charge of arrangements.
