John M. Butler, 57, of Astoria, formerly of Decatur, died at 6:50 p.m. June 27, 2019, at home.
He was born Sept. 1, 1961, in Champaign, a son of Thomas Martin and Mildred Elizabeth Hamilton Butler. He never married.
Surviving are one sister, Ellen Noblitt of Decatur; one brother, Joseph Butler of Decatur; one niece; two nephews; and three great nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
He was a fork lift driver.
Cremation rites have been accorded. Inurnment will be held at a later date at the Hickory Cemetery in Astoria. Shawgo Memorial Home in Astoria is in charge of arrangements.
