He was born June 13, 1956, in Rushville, a son of Chester Otis and Vera Royer Bent.
Surviving are three daughters, Karissa Bent of Astoria, Cassie Bent of Beardstown and Kara Bent of Ipava; one son, Cole Bent of Chillicothe; three brothers, Gary (and Cheryl) Bent of Petersburg, Larry (and Donna) Bent of Ipava and Dick (and Sandy) Bent of Browning; one sister, Nancy Herrick of Canton; and 11 grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
He worked construction.
Cremation rites have been accorded. Visitation will be held from 5-7 p.m. Sunday at Shawgo Memorial Home in Astoria.
