Charles D. Blue, 89, of Blandinsville died at 3:30 a.m. March 27, 2016, at the Elms Nursing Home in Macomb.
He was born April 18, 1926, in Kansas City, Mo., a son of Charles R. and Lucy M. Thompson Blue. He married Nelda Curless on Jan. 9, 1944, in Vermont. She preceded him in death on June 19, 2004.
He also was preceded in death by one grandson, Andrew Blue; one brother, Herbert Blue; and two sisters, Maxine Groves and Lois Speed.
Surviving are two sons, Ron (and Laurel) Blue of Colchester and Steve (and Sandy) Blue of Carthage; four grandchildren; two step grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
He was a lifetime farmer.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Jones Mortuary in Colchester with Rev. Bob Tillman officiating. Burial will follow the services at the Vermont Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 10-11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
