Mabel Gertrude “Trudy” Bean, 93, of Table Grove died at 7:04 p.m. Feb. 7, 2016, at McDonough District Hospital in Macomb.
She was born Oct. 17, 1922, in New Salem Township, McDonough County, the daughter of Urban and Nina Jo Chapman Hammond. She married Lloyd D. Bean on Nov. 5, 1949, in Dallas, Texas. He preceded her in death on Feb. 15, 1994.
She also was preceded in death by one grandson, Brandon Hopping; and one brother, John A. Hammond.
Surviving are three daughters, Linda (and Donnie) Windsor and Susan (and Brett) Schnarr, both of Table Grove, and Mindy (and Dean) Larsen of San Diego, Calif.; four grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
She lived in Table Grove since 1952. She graduated from Knox College in 1944 and worked as an X-ray technologist for two years in Freeport before her marriage. She was later a volunteer at MDH for over 30 years.
Graveside services will be held at Pennington Point Cemetery west of Adair at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 10. There will be no visitation. Clugston-Tibbitts Funeral Home in Macomb is in charge of arrangements.
