Minerva June Black, 97, of Lewistown died at 6 a.m. Nov. 26, 2015, at her son’s home in Beardstown.

She was born June 11, 1918, in Liverpool Township, Fulton County, a daughter of William Henry and Sarah Amy Stufflebeam Clark. She married Thomas W. Black on June 10, 1938, in Ft. Madison, Iowa. He preceded her in death on July 18, 1990.

She also was preceded in death by one daughter, Glenda Black; one grandson, Steven Detrick; three brothers; and two sisters.

Surviving are two sons, Richard (and Waneta) Black of Beardstown and Lyle (and Barbara) Black of Springfield; one daughter, Marilyn (and Bob) Detrick of Easton; seven grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

She was a homemaker. She was a member of Mount Pleasant United Methodist Church in rural Lewistown. She also was a member of the Ipava Chapter Order of Eastern Star and the Rebecca Lodge of Lewistown.

Funeral services were held Tuesday at the Henry-Lange Memorial Home in Lewistown with Reverend Al Sample officiating. Burial was in Apple Cemetery in rural Lewistown.
