She was born May 19, 1937, in Peoria, a daughter of Benjamin and Ella Knickerbocker Grapevine. She married Glenwood “Dunk” Bingamon on Feb. 13, 1959, in Peoria. He preceded her in death on April 13, 1998.
She also was preceded in death by one grandson, Steven Brown; four brothers, Donald, James, Everett and Raymond Grapevine; and two sisters, Vivian Kirby and Charlotte Smith.
Surviving are three daughters, Deana (and Carl) Hartig of Peoria, Debbie (and Johnny Gill) Patterson of Norwood and Cindy Bingamon of Florissant, Mo.; two sons, Glenn Bingamon of Chillicothe and Benjamin Bingamon of Norwood; two sisters, Mary Waldorf of Middleburg, Fla., and Kathryn Newton of Hillsboro, Mo.; 12 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
She was a bus driver, driving for Peoria PARC and the Paige Bus Company of Bartonville. She last worked as a cook at Belwood Nursing Home for 15 years, retiring in 1995.
Graveside service was held Monday at the Bluff City Cemetery with Pastor Dwight Winnett officiating. A Celebration of Life was held Monday at the Peoria Eagle’s Club. Shawgo Memorial Home in Astoria was in charge of arrangements.
