She was born June 2, 1949, in Freeport, the daughter of Clifford and Pauline Jones Altenbern. She married Ernest F. Brose on Nov. 7, 1970, in Freeport. He survives.
Also surviving are her mother, Pauline Altenbern of Freeport; one son, Matthew (and Lori) Brose of Davis; one daughter, Sarah Brose (and Fred Allen) of Freeport; one brother, Stephen (and Nancy) Altenbern of Colchester; three grandchildren; one nephew, Jason (and Amy) Altenbern of Plainfield; and one niece, Laura (and Devin) Hickle of Astoria.
She was preceded in death by her father.
She worked as a secretary in the Drafting Department at Micro Switch.
She was a member of First Lutheran Church where she was active in Mary Circle, Care Givers coordinator and was a Sunday school teacher. She also was a member of Dragon Collector, Bell Choir, Beta Sigma Phi, Red Hatters, Chix from the Stix and a greeting card maker.
Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at First Lutheran Church with Pastor Keith Johnson officiating. There will be a visitation from 9:30 a.m. to time of service Wednesday at First Lutheran. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery.
A memorial has been established in Krysella's memory.
