She was born May 16, 1941, in Chariton, Iowa, a daughter of Wilbur Lee and Roberta Jueques Campbell Burnett-Clothier.
She was preceded in death by her parents; stepfather, L. Scott Clothier; and one brother, Bill Burnett.
Surviving are one son, Brett Camp of Sarasota, Fla.; one brother, Robert Burnett of Burlington, Iowa; two nephews, Jerry Burnett of Ft. Madison, Iowa, and Scott Burnett of Burlington, Iowa; one niece, Dianna Burnett of Marion, Iowa; two grandsons; and seven great nieces and nephews.
She taught high school in Astoria for 30 years where she instructed multiple generations of area families. After her retirement, she began the GED program through Spoon River College.
She was a volunteer on the Astoria Fire and Rescue Squad and Guardian Angel Basset Rescue and a member of Astoria CUSD #1 School Board.
Cremation rites will be accorded.
Memorials may be made to Astoria Fire and Rescue or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
A celebration of life will be held and will be announced at a later date.
