He was born Sept. 10, 1925, in Oakland Township, Schuyler County, a son of Lawrence and Bernice Marie Phillips Beghtol.
Surviving are four nieces, Connie (and Jim) Dodd, Lou Ann (and Dan) Norton, Diann (and Steve) Skiles and Gina (and Ron) Cox; and four nephews, Mike (and Brenda) Billingsley, Terry Billingsley, Jeff (and Gina) Billingsley and Frank (and Kathy) Billingsley.
He was preceded in death by one sister, Bernice Imogene Billingsley; and one brother, Eldon Beghtol.
He farmed and worked construction for his brother-in-law, C. E. Billingsley Construction. He also helped at Rushville Roller Rink for many years.
Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Worthington Funeral Home in Rushville with Rev. Jeremy Norton officiating. Burial will follow in Rushville City Cemetery.
