She was born April 25, 1934, in Macomb, the daughter of Milo and Laura Shirley Edsal. She married Gale L. Brooks on July 18, 1954, in Ipava. He died March 14, 2004.
She also was preceded in death by one grandson, David Brooks.
Surviving are one son, Larry (and Margie) Brooks of Smithfield; two daughters, Janice (and Tony) Birchfield of Cuba and Kathy Brooks of Smithfield; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Cremation will be accorded and there will be no services. Henry-Lange Memorial Home in Cuba is in charge of arrangements.
