Terry L. Baker, 51, of Rushville died at 2:10 a.m. Oct. 7, 2008, at Snyder’s Vaughn-Haven Nursing Home.
He was born Aug. 1, 1957, in Beardstown, a son of Gene and Rethyle Lawson Baker. He married Cheryl Ealey on May 7, 1990, in Las Vegas, Nev. She survives.
Also surviving are his mother, Rethyle (and Martin) Woods of Rushville; two sons, Shane Baker, serving in the U.S. Army at Fort Lewis, Wash., and Terry Lee Baker of Rushville; one daughter, Valerie Baker, Carlinville; and one brother, Roger (and Cheri) Baker of Rushville.
He was preceded in death by his father.
He worked as a dispatcher for ABF Freight in Springfield, and later was shipping supervisor for Whalen Manufacturing in Macomb, retiring due to ill health.
He was a member of Rushville Free Methodist Church, Ducks Unlimited and National Wild Turkey Association.
Services were held Friday at his church with Rev. John Glennon and Rev. Rose Ross officiating. Burial was in Rushville City Cemetery. Worthington Funeral Home in Rushville was in charge of arrangements.
