Tammy Bent, 44, of Astoria died at 9:38 a.m. Friday, July 12, 2002, at Culbertson Memorial Hospital in Rushville.
She was born Feb. 6, 1958, in Rushville, a daughter of Stanley and Betty Belville Briney.
Surviving are her parents of Browning; three daughters, Karissa Bent, Cassie Bent and Kara Bent, all of Astoria; one son, Cole of Astoria; two sisters, Penny Ruth of Rushville and Cindy (and Bob) Welker of Havana; two brothers, Jason (and Deanna) Briney and Orion (and Rhonda) Briney, both of Browning; and one grandson.
A member of Phi Beta Kappa, she was a graduate of Graham Hospital School of Nursing with high honors.
She had been a registered nurse at Culbertson Memorial Hospital in Rushville and at Memorial Hospital in Springfield, working in the cardiac care unit for three years.
Services were held Monday at Shawgo Memorial Home with Collis Trone officiating. Burial was in Sheldons Grove Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to an education fund for her children at Farmers State Bank in Astoria or the Cass-Schuyler Hospice, care of Culbertson Memorial Hospital in Rushville.
