BEULAH (MILLER) BURROWS

Beulah Burrows

Beulah Burrows, 86, of Cuba, died at 10:45 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 12, 1996, at Graham Hospital Extended Care Unit in Canton.

She was born Oct. 10, 1910, in Vermont, the daughter of Elwood and Nellie Stewart Miller. She married Raymond Burrows on June 16, 1932, in Carthage. He died Nov. 23, 1980. One son, Lee and two brothers also preceded her in death.

Surviving are one son, Max Burrows of Northlake; one daughter, Karla Buhl of East Peoria; one brother, Rodney Miller of Arthur; eight grandchildren; one stepgranddaughter; 17 great-grandchildren; two stepgreat-grandchildren; and three step-great-great-grandchildren.

She taught first grade at Cuba Elementary School, and in Smithfield and Marietta schools. She was a member of the Retired Teacher’s Association and the Homemakers Extension Association. She was a member of Providence Church in rural Lewistown.

Funeral services were held Monday at Oaks-Hines Funeral Home in Canton with Rev. Dean Wright officiating. Burial was in Cuba Cemetery.
