Raymond Burrows Of Cuba Dies

Raymond E. Burrows, 70, of 125 N. First, Cuba, died at 11:24 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 25, 1980, in Graham Hospital at Canton. He had farmed in the Cuba area all of his life.

He was born Nov. 8, 1910, in Bernadotte Township, a son of William and Alta (Oviatt) Burrows. He married Beulah Miller June 16, 1934, in Carthage.

She survives, along with two sons, Max E. Burrows of North Lake and Lee Burrows of Rockford; one daughter, Mrs. Carla Buhl of East Peoria; eight grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Mrs. Erma Ellis of rural Lewistown and Mrs. Mary Matthews of rural Cuba.

One brother and three sisters preceded him in death.

Mr. Burrows was a member of the Providence Chapel Church.

Mrs. Burrows writes the Homemakers Column for the Argus each week.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Friday in Oaks Memorial Chapel at Canton, with Rev. Dean Wright and Rev. Oscar Leander officiating. Burial was in Cuba Cemetery.
