LUNDRY V. BEAM

Lundry Beam

Lundry V. Beam, 78, of Smithfield, died at 6 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 7, 1996, at Graham Hospital in Canton.

He was born June 20, 1918, in Cuba, the son of John G. and Avis Lundry Beam. He married Mary E. Beatty on Feb. 16, 1939, in St. Louis. She survives.

Also surviving are two sons, Larry L. Beam and Terry A. Beam, both of Cuba; one daughter, Linda L. Howard of Ipava; 10 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

He was a machine operator at International Harvester for 30 years, retiring from the Forge Department in 1974. He was a member of Smithfield Sportsman’s Club.

Funeral services were held Tuesday at Oaks-Hines Funeral Home in Canton with Rev. Layton Malone officiating. Burial was in Baughman Cemetery in rural Smithfield.

Memorials may be made to Clayberg Nursing Home in Cuba.
