Eugene S. Barker, 78, of Table Grove, died Friday, May 26, 1995 at 1:38 a.m. at Sprucewood Healthcare Center in Macomb.
He was born July 24, 1916, in Fulton County, the son of John W. and Ida K. Strode Barker. He was married to Dorothy R. Moore on April 11, 1936 in Palmyra, Mo. She died Oct. 1, 1990.
He is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Martha Jean Harper of Willow Hill and K. Elaine Danner of Table Grove; one son, John L. Barker of Beardstown; six grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Adelia Bottenberg of East Peoria; one aunt; and three nieces.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, one grandchild.
He farmed all of his life. He was a member of the Summum Christian Church.
Funeral services were held Tuesday at 1 p.m. at the Kost Memorial Home in Vermont with Rev. Howard Self officiating. Burial was in the Forest Lawn Memory Gardens in Macomb. Memorials to the Table Grove Rescue Squad.
Kost Memorial Home in Vermont was in charge of arrangements.
