VeteranDwight Bingamon Of Peoria Dies

Dwight Bingamon, 76, of 607 E. Pennsylvania Ave., Peoria, died at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 4, 1990, at Saint Francis Medical Center.

He was born Aug. 8, 1914, in Bluff City, a son of Daniel and Dora Sackman Bingamon. He married Hester Pollitt on April 26, 1950, in Peoria. She survives.

Also surviving are one stepson, Bernard L. Palmer of East Peoria; one sister, Anna May Collins of El Paso; four stepgrandchildren; and seven step-great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by three brothers and two sisters.

He worked for George Johnson Construction Co. for 30 years and later was a custodian for School District 150, retiring in 1979. He was a World War II Army veteran.

Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. Friday at Endsley & Son Funeral Home with Rev. Leonard Martz officiating. Burial was in Swan Lake Memory Gardens.
