Arthur R. Brown Of Vermont Dies

Arthur R. Brown, 85, a farmer and carpenter of Vermont, died at 10:30 p.m. Monday, Feb. 5, 1990, in Culbertson Memorial Hospital in Rushville.

He was born Nov. 7, 1904, in Table Grove, a son of Charlie and Sarah Lybarger Brown. He married Laura Derry in Rushville on Dec.1, 1927. She survives.

Also surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Melba Hollenback of Table Grove and Mrs. Margaret Heaton of Springfield; one son, Kenneth Brown, of Industry; 11 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; and two sisters, Mrs. Blanche Hainline of Peoria and Mrs. Gladys Hurst of Midwest City, Okla.

One grandson, four brothers and two sisters preceded him in death.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at Kost Memorial Home in Vermont with Rev. Donald Pratt officiating. Burial will be in the Vermont Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. this evening at the Memorial Home.

Memorials may be made to the Vermont United Methodist Church, of which he was a member, or to the Vermont Rescue Squad.
